Who we are

Clarafy is a web design and hosting service run by Thomas Borden in Clackamas County, Oregon.

What you get

For one monthly price, Clarafy designs and builds your website, hosts it, keeps it running, and makes updates when you ask. The first look is a free mockup, with no obligation.

Price and billing

$299 per month, billed monthly. There is no setup fee. Payment is by card through Stripe. Your first payment starts the service.

No contract

There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time by emailing hello.clarafy@gmail.com. Your billing date is the day of the month you first paid (pay on the 10th, and each payment is due on the 10th). Each payment covers one full billing month. If you cancel partway through, your site stays up until the end of the month you already paid for, and we do not refund partial months.

If a payment fails

If a monthly payment fails, we will try again and email you. If the payment is still not received 7 days after the due date, your website goes offline until the balance is paid.

Who owns what

The website is part of the monthly service. Clarafy builds, hosts, and maintains it. If you cancel or stop paying, the website is taken offline and you do not keep the site files. Your own logo, photos, text, and business name stay yours, and we will give you a copy of the materials you supplied if you ask.

Your domain name

Clarafy registers and pays for your domain name as part of the monthly service, and the domain stays with Clarafy. If you cancel or stop paying, the domain is not transferred to you.

Your content

You promise that the logos, photos, and text you give us are yours to use, or that you have permission. You are responsible for what your business says on its site.

Changes and support

Reasonable update requests are included. Very large new builds (a new store, a big redesign) may be quoted separately.

What we do not promise

We do not guarantee a number of visitors, calls, or sales, or a place in Google search results. We work to keep the site online but do not promise it will never go down. Uptime monitoring is not offered.

Mockups

A free mockup is a sample for you to look at. You may not publish it. If you do not become a client, it is deleted on request.

AI tools

Clarafy uses AI tools, such as Anthropic's Claude, to help design, write, and build websites. Content you provide may be processed by these tools. Thomas reviews the work before it is shown to you or published.

Privacy

We use your contact details only to run the service and talk to you about it. We do not sell them. See the Privacy Policy.
